What Britney Wrote About Justin
Britney Spears’ highly anticipated new memoir, “The Woman in Me,” is finally out and fans are learning much, much, much more about the singer’s infamous relationship with Justin Timberlake!
Here are some of the juiciest tidbits so far:
#1 The Abortion. One of the first excerpts revealed Spears became pregnant with Timberlake’s baby, but that she had an abortion. Spears also claims that in order to keep it quiet and out of the public eye, she took little pills at home and suffered excruciating pain. Timberlake strummed his guitar to try and soothe her through it.
#2 The Cheating. They both cheated on each other. Spears admits she kissed choreographer Wade Robson at a party, but claims Timberlake cheated many times. “Especially because I was so infatuated and so in love, I let it go, even though the tabloids seemed determined to rub my face in it. When NSYNC went to London in 2000, photographers caught him with one of the girls from All Saints in a car. But I never said anything,” she writes. Spears also claims Timberlake cheated with a very famous woman whom she won’t identify because she’s married with kids.
#3 The Breakup. Timberlake dumped Spears over a text message. Spears writes that Timberlake became “standoffish” while working on his debut solo album “Justified.” “I think that was because he’d decided to use me as ammunition for his record, and so it made it awkward for him to be around me staring at him with all that affection and devotion. Ultimately, he ended our relationship by text message while I was on the set for the video for the ‘Overprotected’ remix by Darkchild.” That was in 2002.
#4 The Letter. Timberlake later gave her a framed breakup letter that she still has to this day. He flew out to Louisiana to see her after the breakup and gave her the letter. “At the end it said — it makes me want to cry to think about it — ‘I can’t breathe without you.’ Those are the last words in it. It almost felt like I was suffocating, like I couldn’t breathe, after all that had happened. The thing is, though, even after I saw him and read the letter, I didn’t come out of the trance.”
#5 The Hookups. Post-breakup, they both went a little wild. Spears says Timberlake slept with six or seven women. Spears hooked up with actor Colin Farrell in 2003, and described their two weeks together as intense. “Brawl is the only word for it — we were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight.”
There’s been no reaction from Timberlake regarding the memoir. Sources have said that he is focused on his own family.
