TODAY IN 1991: Meet Brittany! Errr… BRITNEY.

Before the Vegas residency, before “Hit Me Baby One More Time,” and even before “The Mickey Mouse Club,” Britney Spears got her first nationwide appearance on “Star Search” with Ed McMahon TODAY in 1991.

While we haven’t been able to track down her EXACT first moment in the public eye, here is one from early 1992 that YouTube has unearthed for us.  And you can see, even almost 29 years ago, Britney was QUITE the performer!
