“You Make My Dreams Come True” gets a cool cover!

While it wasn’t necessarily one of their biggest #1 hits when it was first released (those would be “Rich Girl,” “Maneater,” and “Private Eyes”), Daryl Hall & John Oates’ “You Make My Dreams Come True” has had a renaissance in the past decade or so. Perhaps it started with the appearance in the Zooey Deschanel / Joseph Gordon Levitt rom-com “500 Days Of Summer,” perhaps it is because of TikTok, or perhaps it’s because IT’S JUST A STONE COLD BOP… but it’s getting a second look again this week on TV.
In case you missed it, Kelly Clarkson took a crack at it in her “Kelly-Oke” segment on her daytime talk show, and well… it’s as good as you’d expect!
And no, Kelly reportedly has no plans to release the cover as a single… but if we did, we wouldn’t hate her for it.
