Reese’s is making my heart hurt.

Imagine for just a moment, the biggest Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup you could.  It’s round, it’s 9 inches in diameter, and it’s LOADED with peanut-y goodness, dipped in chocolate.

Sounds perfect.

Well, the brought out… and it’s already sold out.

Maybe that was part of Reeses and Hershey (their parent company)’s strategy: make a limited number and have people fight over them.  But it just makes my heart a little sad.

If you’re looking for one of these “Reese’s Pies,” yes, they are still available on eBay, but they’re going for 10 times (or more) the original price… so be aware.

Until then, here’s to hoping that Santa convinces them to produce more stock for Christmas.  Or, someone cracks the lottery and we all splurge on these pies together.
