She was born Patricia Mae Giraldo, in Brooklyn, New York, but we know her as rocker Pat Benatar. Her first album was released in 1979. Since then, she’s racked up 15 Top 40 singles in Billboard magazine. It was only fitting to check out Pat’s 3 biggest hits of all time as she celebrates her 68th birthday today!

#3 – Love Is A Battlefield (1983) – Who could imagine this song as a ballad? That’s what the songwriters had in mind. It took some playing around with drum machines to convince the crew it was the way to go.

#2 – We Belong (1984) – Pat earned a Grammy nomination for this one. We can sing along, but sometimes we aren’t exactly what all the words are, so we mumble like we really do know them.

#1 – Hit Me With Your Best Shot (1980) – It doesn’t matter if you are 44 or 24, you know this one. Who doesn’t? It’s played at every sporting event and nightclub jukebox more than four decades later.
