Your Halftime Performer Is… Jay-Z!
Jay-Z has picked himself to headline the halftime show of the Super Bowl!
The rapper is the NFL’s “live music entertainment strategist,” and his official statement reads: “From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl halftime stage, this has been a journey. Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”
Jay-Z and his Roc Nation partnered with the NFL in 2019, giving him the decision on who performs at halftime.
This announcement is just the latest as he celebrates 30 years since his debut album. He has also released an eight-part docuseries on HBO and performed in several anniversary shows.
We will be eagerly watching for any hints about the Jay-Z halftime show – like, will his wife Beyonce take part? Time will tell!
Last year’s halftime performer was Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar took the stage in 2025, and Usher performed in 2024.
Super Bowl LXI is set for February 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
