Last night, “60 Minutes” correspondent Jon Wertheim went into Prince’s studios in Paisley Park, Minnesota, to get an up-close look at his recording space, his process, and some of the music on his upcoming release “Welcome 2 America.”

That’s right, Prince has an “upcoming release.”

It’s an album recorded back in 2011 that never saw the light of day, but was stored in the Prince’s musical vault for a decade, and his longtime musical director Morris Hayes says, that 10 year delay doesn’t cause the album to age AT ALL.  In fact, some of the tracks, in light of social unrest of the last few years, are more relevant than ever.

In case you missed the special (because the Masters ran late… DARN IT)… or you were up to family time, check out the article here.  We’ll have more to showcase in the coming weeks as we get a FULL preview of “Coming 2 America.”
